Università “Parthenope”

Diana Di Luccio has been a technologist at the University of Naples Parthenope since 2021. In 2018, she received her Ph.D. in environmental phenomena and risks, discussing research on applying numerical simulation models to study the coastal hydrodynamics processes associated with extreme weather-marine events. She has been a Research Fellow from 2016 to 2021. Her main research interests include the application of meteo-oceanographical modeling in high-performance computing (HPC) environments to forecast and manage the potential risks for citizens, infrastructure deriving from weather-marine events, use of data crowdsourcing platforms based on the IoT, and mobile/cloud computing technologies to collect valuable data to improve the accuracy of numerical forecasting models. The applications are primarily focused on the coastal areas with the use of regional numerical models.
